Q&A Follow-Up Information relating to the questions regarding Crisis Intervention Training (CIT):
Questions: “How many officers are trained, how many officers are scheduled on each shift, and how is training funded?”
Answers: “Approximately 70~75% of Onondaga County Sheriff patrol deputies are trained in CIT. So in theory, that same ratio would apply at any given time on the road. Currently, the funding comes from within the department; however, we are always looking for outside sources.” ~Deputy Diane Dober
